God versus Free Will

If a God exists as is perceived,
there's no free will, as is believed,

I travel on my pre-destined ways,
organised by he who says,

For he would know well in advance,
my plans, my thoughts, its not by chance,

If I'm in this world by his design,
tis he who knows, he draws the line,

When I was born he would know the date,
of my demise, my final fate,

He would know my plans, what I would do,
my good deeds, my bad ones too,

I'd have no choice, I can't change lanes,
or throw a dice,,or take the reins,

If I am a product of his creation,
should I dance with joy, with elation?

For he would have made me what I am,

and knew.............

exactly............

what I'd do,

So, if I'm good, it's by his hand,
and I get to see the promised land,

If I'm bad, and I should fall,
twas he also made that call,

He cant complain or punish me
for things I've done that he could see,

And if I'm flawed, it's not down to me,
Look to God,
if thats how I came to be,

I didn'nt make myself you see,.

my life I dont need to justify,
if I do,,,,,,,

It's all a lie,,

optimisticme...that's a verrry good poem. well rhymed when it needs to be and pulling a point of view that many believe. i prefer to think that the free will part is free, if god's a big G or a little g no matter, if G knows what we can do that doesn't necessarily mean we will...just my 2 cents. Great lines, you're on a roll O.C.M.

Not all who believe in God are also believers in Destiny or Fate, necessarily.

Good deal, though. thumbs up

Not if you believe in "the Many World's Interpretation of Quantum Physics" (and the full ramifications thereof). In this case, all things, and potentialities, for an individual (or should I say infinite copies of an individual); are possible, in an infinite multiplicity of universes; (collectively called the Multiverse). And no god is required

Well written poem, by the way. And thought provoking

Respect your ways of thinking Optimistic but for me my heavenly Father is not a lie. He is the Creator of the Universe . He has a plan for you, me and anybody else. The mysteries of physics will be discovered by humanity as times permits to be used for the good cause as we all expect. SM

Yes, good poem indeed. thumbs up

As regards "free will" ...
Our life was already written in our script before we were born.
With no room for free will.

But...only when we unlock our scripts, can we have free will and and manifest positive things in our life.
We are the creators.dancing
