MEMORY CLING.

Summer afternoon, scenery surrounds
Sunshine highlights, nature's sounds
Air stirred by breeze, waves trees
Feeling of happiness, one feels free

No normal chores, a day to relax
Picnic not troubles, carefully packed
Laughter escapes, floats on air
Children playing, joy's they share

Stream meanders, breaks scene
Open spaces, glistening green
From blue sky above, sun shines
Reminds us, of this special time

Enjoy every moment, of life
Know sadness, brings strife
Summer must fade, air cools
Memories remain, winter calls

Life can't be guaranteed, we must
Grasp every moment, hope 'n trust
Happiness a gift, we shelter within
Memories so special, we can cling

About this poem:
as we in NZ leave summer, though weather is still hot and humid, we wait the winter when we can revisit memories stored.....

this style I like Kathy, you painted it out in patches which is clipped and makes it have a working presence. thumbs up
