Lonely Always Gets Left There

Lord I don't have talent and I don't have money
I don't have connections to get me somewhere
I don't have a girl to call me honey

I don't have a wife to come home to
The songs I write are all just lonely
And lonely always gets left there

I look tall in the moon light but some things are hard to bear
When there's a silent shadow on the wall
Lonely always gets left there

And what's in the morning but another day
I'll be thankful if there's sun light to be my company
The only one who cares

And come the evening I'll start believing
Cause it's happened before never a knock on the door
And lonely always gets left there

Spring is coming - maybe all of us will cheer up on here a little bit. We will be able to get out and about more and meet people in the park, restaurants or wherever we go. A smile goes a long way. Most of us here fit into this poem. Thanks for sharing!
