The ground was bare as was the air from gusts and thrusts to stir compacted soil.
The mothers toil came fast as the destruction cast darkness and death. She still had breath to give life but not without strife for floods and fire raged.
Survival has always been the stronger force. It unravelled its course around the globe.
Smiles appeared across the miles as flowers bloomed and the birds cooed.
Heads hung in shame at the lame excuses of man's own folly. Did man not learn at all from earths nearly fall?
Absolutely one of your best writes, sometimes a stint away can unleash the captive mind Red, hugs my sweet friend.......

Thanks muchly Bentlee, first thing that my pen has done (lazy sod) ha ha for a couple of years now. Yep a break now and again from the rut we dig for ourselves does one good.
Did you get your drive way done from those church goers??
Lol a distant memory, sometimes in life its better to choose the battles I chose to sell, the battle was not worth the outcome of having to deal with such narrow minded people daily lol......
Man's destruction of the earth. Example - extreme wildfires in California started by careless people caused high count of deaths and loss of property. Where I live we are getting floods regularly now. Too much building and in the wrong places taking away wetlands and natural barriers against disaster. When will people ever learn? So sad. Great write.
