FOREST HUSH.
Through tree mass, river weaves
Surrounded by scattered autumn leaves
Flickering light, through tree canopy
Haunting peace so special to me
River cuts 'round rocks, running fast
Crystal raindrops drape, but won't last
Waiting the sun, to change the scene
Fresh russet shades with forest green
Stillness broken, eyes can't see
No visual movement, sound the key
Muffled footsteps, on carpet of leaves
Echoed dog barks, carried by breeze
Hollow and cool, this shaded bliss
Spent rain carried on breeze, to kiss
Naked cheeks, that branches touch
Sharing nature, enjoyed so much
Solitude engulfs, those who walk
Total silence, no need to talk
Eyes darting, to absorb all
Creatures watching, others call
Cobwebs, damp with past rain
Clinging to trees, as spiders gain
Airborne travel, between the trees
Humans walk, aim to feel free....
Leave the hidden place refreshed
Forestry time their soul caressed
Nature heals, the healthy way
Sharing with all, every day....
