NO LONGER LOST

Lost and trying to find my way
In a daze not knowing what day
Nothing making sense anymore
Desperately seeking the right door

But every place I turn is the wrong way
Not trusting and not easily persuade
Not knowing what evil awaits ahead
Must use my heart instead of my head

Hunger and thirst a constant companion
Life stretching out before me like a deep canyon
Then suddenly I knew and picked the right door
For behind I knew I would find my Lord

Not lost - my thirst quenched and hunger fed
No longer lost but using my heart - not my head

Thank you Happy. The decision was a health one - I had to have and did have last Wed. a total knee replacement. Now the recuperation period is very difficult but with God's help and of my blood family, church family and friends I pray I will persevere through this period in my life.

Thank you Happy. 3 weeks tomorrow and I can walk with a cane and sometimes forget to walk with a cane. Physical Therapy is coming along good - however, do get frustrated sometimes but must persevere as I know I'm fortunate in family, church family, friends and neighbors who have been loving on me and helping me. You see - I have always been pretty independent and it is humbling to be served instead of serving.

Thanks Kathy, New Zealand. I struggled with my fear up until the Doctor had me put to sleep for the surgery. Now struggling with the pain and PT but am determined will make.

Thank you yaspark, Lily and Mady for your encouragement - somehow I got behind on thanks yous.

Update: I'm through therapy - go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week to ride the stationary bike and do my exercises daily at home as well. I'm coming along but it is I understand a 6 month - 1 year recovery period for knee replacements. I also try to walk 1/2 mile a day when I can. It puts an awful strain on the good knee as well. But I'm coming along.

It has been a very challenging year healthwise - first knee replacement and then other health problems developed afterwards. The knee is doing well but having problems with immune system which we are working on. But God has been good and family and friends have been very supportive. Thanks everyone for your support here.

perhaps

This keeps the cadence while still purveying the message

Thank you Morgen. Fortunately I'm in upstate New York. New York City is the one hard hit - they have been sending refrigerator trucks there to put the deceased in. The families have 14 days to claim the bodies and then if not claimed - they are burying them in a mass grave on one of the islands off the coast. - So so sad and scary!! Surreal - feel like I'm in a very bad Science Fiction horror movie.
