Last night I fell into a restless sleep, soon after I’d been clearing out my fridge, sorting what to throw away and what to keep. I started dreaming I was walking o’er a bridge.
The path I trod soon led me to a street, whose pavements were all packed and thronged with folk. I was only wearing slippers on my feet. The people stared and laughed as if that was a joke.
I saw a row of shops all in a line. I ran toward them, tripping o’er my slippers. And there, on a shop window, was a sign which said, we will buy your date-expired kippers.
And as the grip of sleep began to soften, I resolved to clear my fridge out much more often.
Yes Harbal - you must clean out that fridge once in a while before things growing in their infringe and grow over into your dreams! Very cute poem. Thanks for sharing your humor.

Yes, I seem to be stuck in a sonnet rut, rob.

Dreams quite often tell you things you didn't particularly want to know. Happychattty.

And I tend to dream more when I'm already in trouble, daniela.

Yes, EX, go and check your dates. Anything more than six months past its sell by should be thrown away immediately.

Got inspired me to clean my fridge, thank you for that Harbal. Can't wait for your follow-up dream after cleaning your car.

There are people on this site, and you seem to be one of them, yaspark, who are determined to get me to clean my car. I will probably bow to the pressure eventually, perhaps next weekend. Did you dream about your fridge afterwards, yaspark?

I sure did Harbal, dreams may be highly contagious although nothing worth a poem have emerged. No pressure here to clean your car although would be nice to witness a poetic outbreak.

Reading your first line...a song came to mind: "last night I had the strangest dream I never dreamt before...."
