Pail of water, Where is Jill?, Jack got some magic beans for sale?, Someone show me a wishing well, What happened to the fairy tales...?, See I remember when that Humpty Dumpty Was picking up pieces, Little Bo Peep Was chasing her sheep And Goldilocks Was locked up with the Three bears sleeping, What happened to the fairy tales I used to believe in? What happened to the fairy tales, Seems nobody reads them, They sit upon the library shelves and Few ever see them, And new generations have nothing to believe in, Tell me what happened to the fairy tales..., What happened to my fairy tale...?

About this poem:
A little song I wrote...sometimes I miss yesterday...
I still read Fairy Tales as I love happy endings. However, my Fairy Tale got lost along the way somewhere and no They'll live happily ever after ending. No happily beginning either. Just life day by day. Oh well. Good luck.
Hi, madtat29, I enjoyed your Fairy tale verse. Although new replaces old as years roll by, fairy tales trend from Jill and Jack to Lion King, among other things. But generation after generation the question, What happened to my fairy tale...? remains the searching heart's refrain. Thanks for sharing.
