That special time of day, when a red glow Appears in the distance, as pace slows As a candle, flickers from light and bright To fade, as nature snuffs day and light
Areas of ruby colour, will not last long The sun dies, and soon will be gone Leaving brief dusk, that turns to dark Birds stop chattering, until morning lark
Starts the cycle, as a new day begins Chorus of waking birds, joyously sing Dews melts, as the rising sun rays Stream across earth, welcoming a day
Bringing hope, in every form to all Sunshine, or maybe rain will fall Nature decides, as life goes on Animal and plant life, sharing its song.....

About this poem:
most nights I watch the changing glow at sunset...
Thank you REDEX.....we living on the west coastline it seems gets the best sunsets. Living on the Kiapara Harbour, it appeared as if the setting sun was boiling the ocean....as it floated, then disappeared.....Kathy
I love the sunsets - particularly the mixed colors. Starting at red, orange, yellow and gold and ending up lavender, purple and slate color. My favorite time of day.

Glad you read and liked Lilly...….last night it was a mixture of golds to red, as the sun set in the distance, framed by the church next doors trees...….Kathy
