DAYDREAMING

I spoke to a tree hugger yesterday
He wanted to know if we could step out today

I pondered and would like to have said yes
But it's rained all day, that's something we couldn't guese

I waited for a break in the clouds
Rain mac and boots on, I joined the crowds

It seems we had all waited for that break
Shopping, walking, or the days run around the lake

My tree hugger man was nowhere in sight
Maybe I had frightened him, and he took flight

Someone was walking alongside me
And yes that's right, it twas he

He had dived out in-between cloud bursts too
His steps matched mine and we heard the birds coo coo

So we found a thick tree to hug
He on one side, me on the other in a fug

Our arms encircled the tree trunk
And our fingers touched, and rings cluncked

So you see you can find someone a friend
In very strange places, no need to pretend

Just like me at this moment, waiting for the rain to stop
This daydreaming I must surely drop

Love this one. But instead of hugging the tree - couldn't you kind of circle around a little and hug him! hug banana Just thinking! laugh Good luck Red with your tree hugger! Although hugging a person is such much more satisfying!
