Hi Red ........Nothing like greening the place up for both food and flowers .......nice write .......we have a jungle at our place and Kathy wonders why we get snakes .........??? .......downside is I have to maintain it .........Regards NU
Great write Red...Reminds me I had planted a dozen mammoth sunflowers one year, A lot of work, dug deep and put in good dirt, plumbed in micro sprinklers on a timer , and to keep them safe I put cages around all the shoots...babied and took care of them all season...Haha..Birds came in and took over half my harvest. What they didn't get I put in a drying room hoping to have some seeds to eat...The mice came like little thieves in the night and ate what was left...I didn't get one sunflower seed

I would love to sit in your garden sip lemonade, with a broad hat over my head and watch as the competition of survival for creature, plant and human spiral out of control. I see you are enjoying the fruit of your labour. Very nice poem I hope for more
