Something was lost
That means the world to me
One day was tossed
Into a tranquil sea
Something was lost
That will never be found
Whatever once cost
Won't keep it around

Not merely misplaced
A path never crossed
Left without a trace

That sank back into time
So great was its cost
So steep was the climb
Something was lost
Forever departed to me
