Solitude

Welcome is the chance to observe
A time for ourselves we reserve
Not separated from ourselves
But swimming into the deepest pool
Down into our own truest belongings
Apart from those who try and rule
Our hearts hunger not to be found
They hunger to hide away and steal
A time to lick our wounds and heal
Welcome is a time to conserve
A time for ourselves we most deserve

Thanks Red. So many answers to so many questions are found when you can just quiet your mind. That's why I love solitude. conversing

Love this poem, solitude is definitely prescious gift and for me a peaceful reflective time that aids self preservation, wisdom and healing too .

Thanks Di ! Sometimes that is all that matters. Author John Spence wrote, “If you expect the world to be fair with you because you are fair, you're fooling yourself. That's like expecting the lion not to eat you because you didn't eat him.” LOL
