THE FOOL

I am like the tarot card fool,
shoulder carrying, creative potential,
and all,
my talents in a knapsack.
flower in hand,
free from constraints,
without care.

Barking dog frolics by odd shod feet,
at the cliff edge,
maybe I’ll fall,
having faith in the future,
for journeys unknown,
bound for adventure,
outcome never told.

Shedding old habits,
create myself with new methods,
fearless of consequences,
forever the fool.

Searching out a kindred soul,
in life’s river to go with the flow,
tired of swimming solo.

River meets river
flowing to the same ocean,
best of life,
lying on the horizon.
The I, you, us, we,
are as invitation.

It ‘s this moment that counts
on quests of self-realisation.

Dreams should not live alone.

About this poem:
I was looking trough the poems on here and I came across one of Gongdo's titled "Love Me"
After reading it I sort deconstructed it .
I did some restructuring some of Gongdo's wonderful phrases, added some new lines and ended up with "THE FOOL"
Finally I'd like to thank Gongdo for his kind permission to make it public and post it here.

Heel erg bedankt Gongdo.

This one is has a bit of a stumbling rhythm, this is because It is based on the
The tarot card of the fool, and he is stumbling along oblivious to danger.
I would be interested in your honest opinion of of it.

The Fool,
He takes chances, jumps in with both feet, takes a leap of faith,
Never packs much, head held high and believes in his feelings.

I think the Fool see's life and takes chances, I would rather be the Fool than the 8 of swords who misses everything because he's to scared to remove the blindfold, or the Devil who is chained by his fear not realizing the chains are loose and can be broken and is too scared to take a Risk.wine
