A Personal Lorica
May some small wealth ever keep the wolf at bay,
May I maintain the strength of the Aurochs,
May I be guarded by the thorn,
May my tongue ever speak wise words,
May my journeys be swift and trouble free,
May the fire of creativity burn within my soul,
May my gifts from the gods sustain me.
May I ever find joy in the world,
May hail always turn quickly to water.
May my needs be few and simple,
May all that glistens prove true under foot,
May my harvests never fail,
May the trunk of the tree never tremble,
May my luck always be good,
May all harm be warded off,
May the sun always shine on me and my kin,
May there always be justice in my life,
May the goddesses, look over my family,
May I ride through all storms unharmed,
May I always be true to myself, my kin and my gods,
May the waters of life ever refresh me,
May my seed always grow strong,
May I always see with clarity of vision,
May I always be together with my kin in my own home.

About this poem:
This Lorica is written based on the 24 runes of the Elder Germanic Futhark. It can also be used as a blessing by substituting “you” for “I”.
Lorica is an ancient form of Celtic poetry. It isn't on the drop down menu.
I trained as a Bard with the British Druid Order.
