Cold to the Bone

Solutions
Cold to the Bone

Sometimes life throws us snowballs and our hands
And
Toes
Freeze
Sometimes we
Must find heat
To
Melt!
Necessity
Is the mother of invention
Truely
My heat failed
About
4-6 weeks ago
62-68 degrees
Human body 98
30 degrees cooler
Brrr ...
-20 outside
It's been quite difficult
To bare
The burden
Daily
Colder
Almost unbearable
Finally my house
Came to the top
Of the list for repairs
They ripped out
My old furnace system
Yesterday!
Only space heaters
Ugh!
Yesterday was tough
At night I woke up frozen
Wanted hot soup
But too cold out there
Got back under the
Covers
with a 3rd blanket
Body stinging w pain
My fingernails
&
Toenails
N
Pain
Like military
Germany
field cold days
Ugh!
I put a thermophore
Moist heating pad
Across my chest
Cranked it up
As high as I could
Stand
It!
Tucked
My hands
Between my
Sweatshirt
And
The
Heating
Pad
Creating
A
Kangaroo
Pouch
Hot
This way
My palms feel heat
&
The top of my hands
Hot
Toasty
Warmth
Aaahhh!
Now
How do I spell relief?
K a n g a r o o
Pouch!
THERMOPHORE
Moist
Heating
Pad
Has
A
Chammy
Sleeve
27x12

Rachael, I have never experienced it that cold. About - 9 C (including wind chill factor) is The coldest I have felt it in Oz. Well tomorrow, here in Sydney, it is going to be 41 C. It was 48 C, in Sydney's West, a week or two ago. A world of contrasts hey? Your poem really made me "feel" that cold. Stay warm, hang in there!

Dear lovecanbereal
Thank u for your comment
Don't care to relive that
After little heat and the furnace pulled
And replaced w all new
its only 66 degrees inside for in floor heat very slow ...
Never would want to relive those days again ever ...
Now my well water tastes like mud
Another correction to fix ugh?
Thx Rachael
