Nature's Balance

Crystal bright sunshine, replaced by grey
Doubtful skies, replace sun's bright rays
Temperature drops, humidity forgotten
Heat respite, warmer clothes not cotton

Over-shadowed skies, reduced activity
Farmers need rivers, to reach capacity
Brown rolling hills, need rain's coating
Cracked-dry land, needing a soaking

Yet we struggle, when day turns dull
Nature's cycle, must refresh not kill
Day of heavy rain, is what land requires
Moisture gift, better than drying fires

After rain, crystal raindrops dazzle-shine
Maybe a rainbow arch, will be a sign
Nature, does her best to balance-share
Changing our outlook, lavishing care

Have been praying for Australia and New Zealand to have rain to combat the fires and especially for the poor animals caught between nature and humans misuse of it. Take care Kathy - spring coming for me and fall for you.

Yes Lily...am doing well, and at least one day of rain has helped the gardens and farmland here, but it is extra hot.....thank you for the comment....Kathy dancing wave NZ

Thank you Kathy USA. We had one day of good rain last weekend, but the Northern regions need a lot more. I remember when living up there, and I did for 23 years, how the grass goes brown earlier than more southern regions.

Thank you godsprincess for your comments.
We do have heat problems here in NZ that is affecting the fresh water situation, but Australia will take far longer to come right after the fires when so many animals and humans suffered and still are.
At least for us, autumn is just around the corner......Kathy NZwave

gnj4u......thank you for reading Joy and leaving a comment.....always appreciated. We're told in NZ that now we are officially in Autumn we can expect lower temperatures....some as soon as tomorrow. Looking at my garden this evening, rain would be a welcome sight.....but it will soon change and we will be longing for sunshine after a wet winter....what would we do without seasons.....
