Summer Skies

Endless summer skies
Sunny days so blue
Seagulls laugh and cries
Circling overhead flew
Sailboats racing for a prize
Mayor’s Cup will bring to
Building sand castles rise
Claims the sea in a coup
Loneliness a new disguise
If only we ever knew
Love never born never dies
Drifts in and out of view
The sun will always rise
Its light will shine through
Solitude makes us wise
One and one makes two
Endless summer skies
Sunny days so blue
