Old Bones

Old were the bones
Found washed up
On the shore
Lost in the sea
Many years ago
Long after was life
Was empty of light
Buried under sand
No longer cold
As the deep sea
Now basking in the sun
Lying on the beach
Next to me once more

I can imagine you sitting on a shoreline examining pieces of old fossilized bones. Quietness...sometimes you really can find some interesting things having long history..enjoyed the read Chris. Lily

Magical thoughts....my mind drifted to a ship returning to China that was scuttled on the bar at the entrance to the Hokianga Harbour...and after so many years, focus is on returning the lost souls to thier homeland.
Great write...enjoyed reading and sharing....Kathy NZwave
