A World That's Gone Away

I'm alone
All alone
In a world that's gone away

The scenes have changed
The names have changed
What was two is a four lane

No more hello's no more goodbye's
And there's nothing left for me to say
Strangers criss cross before my eyes
In a world that's gone away

I sadly walk to find the quiet
When once the quiet use to find me
Now I watch the hours pass the day
All alone in a world that's gone away

Very sad poem. We are not alone. Time passes and that we cannot detain. If you look around, even if the world is in crisis we need to focus on what is "alive". Try to center your life on positive things. Negativity will only drown you. Writing is an escape for some. Seek help if needed. We all need it at some point. Take care, my dear poet. SM
