Parting

The howling of wolves
serenading the moon
It’s my sign to leave
but I feel its too soon

To walk away
from your loving embrace
The warmth of your lips
all over my face

Alas I must go
and leave the fire light
I’ll take your love with me
to kindle my night

One last hug
and a parting kiss
This tender moment
makes it hard to resist

I turn away swiftly
approaching the door
On your angelic face
I shall gaze no more

There’s always tomorrow
and I will return
And relight loves fire
on thru evening to burn

About this poem:
Something I wrote about my Twin Flame, shortly after I received his ring in the mail and him
proposing to me --- (he lives in Scotland; the plan was to move out to him, and live there together)
