I love my life Because it is mine, It was so kind To me- It smeared me Like a snot on the wall. It used Its favorite trick: When childhood ended - It cut off my oxygen. And now I lie like a fish In the coastal mud
But here's what I think : I see this world as it is! I only ask - "slow down" I only ask - "not now". My life has taught me a secret : "When someone feels pain, The other one feels gain" In the meantime I lie like a fish In the coastal mud

About this poem:
It was an irony but in real I have a lot of questions for those who believe they are not vulnerable......
Salamuna, your poem is a real reflection of the now times. The oxygen on this planet is breathed in by all. Nature does not discriminate but we all together can damage it as it gets more polluted every day. Pain can hit anyone, no matter your status in life. In these now times it has hit us all. Thanks for sharing. SM
Cheer up Lily - we are all feeling "stuck in the mud" with this pandemic crap going on. Life through a child's eyes has all kinds of possibilities. Then as we grow up to adulthood - reality sets in and adult decisions. Take care.
Hi Lily, Your words carry an air of despondency, which is not surprising in the present world. The poem is a very honest account of your feelings and vulnerabilities. Hopefully it helped to share them here on the corner. Take care. Regards Mick.

Have to disagree Lily, when one feels gain others who can show true support feel gain too.
Kathy and SM thank you ladies for reading my poem and leaving comments. I must say that it has not any connection with what is happening now in the world. it's all just personal. Stay well. regards Lily
