Onwards into the Storm

Just as the willow
does not yield to the flood
nor fear the rains
spilling from the crags

nor does the tall pine
that severs the sky
fear the lightning shot
from the thunder ground

we shall not fear
this cursed pestilence
O! brave poets
of the corner

from whom the finest lyrics
are drawn from the rock
as did Arthur wield Excalibur
onwards into the storm my compatriots
