Into My East

As the setting sun appears
I see you off to sail nearer its horizon...
Your memory I most hold dear ,
will always hope for your return, is my decision ...

And as the light in the sky is fading fast ,
your ship moving farther
into the sea's immense vast....
I wish that you carry with you
my words like a distant faint voice
calling,
familiar from the times with me
remembering ...

Where no more falling of sadness' tears ,
no more grappling with crippling fears ,
Only warmth of safety back in my enfolding arms,
no more worry you will come to grievous harm ...
I someday hope to see
you sailing back to me once more ,
heading off to ... never ever leave ...
my waiting loving shores ...

About this poem:
A poem randomly inspired by "Into the West" from Return of the King (Lord of the Rings) sung originally by Annie Lennox but prefer this other rendition as the two female singers sung it with a more haunting Celtic tone ...

Yankee4you
Kind of reminds me of places like Nantucket ...... many widow's peaks......

Yes Yankee4you .... If you mean the so called widow's walks atop houses, then I definitely understand the connection to my poem ... specially considering Nantucket's whaling history ....
