Tell me I’m the soulmate that you’ve searched for all your life; Tell me I’m the woman that you’re proud you made your wife. Tell me that no one else could ever take my place; Tell me all these lies, as you look me in the face.
Tell me that she’s “no one” and “nothing happened” too; Tell me that she’s the one whose chasing after you. Tell me that you told her that you’d never leave your wife. Tell me lies that maul my soul and cleave it with a knife.
Tell me, tell me why you came into my life at all. Tell me how the man I love(d) could have so great a fall.
Tell me lies......
