A daily lesson

A daily lesson
more or less
Family of five, six I guess
Ignoring the cats
Imported at great expense
Who sharpening claws
turn furniture into torn shreds
A new country new language
Well such demand needs
Such determination
Don't you think!?

Russian Persian, four children and four imported cats, from Uzbekistan or one of the 'stans - ignoring the cats just means 'not counting them in the six' - it is just a reflection on the pressures involved in emigration. A Farsi/Russian native speaker of mine and her family is the origin of this brief sketch. She studies English with me 4 days a week
