Waiting For A Storm

The storm that never came

Those flashes of distant light

That low rumble of thunder acclaim

Went well to the west in the night

Where hid the wind and water more

Once again as we gaze from our blind

Taking those long walks on the shore

Already our footsteps vanishing behind

Where the future meets the past

And when the starry nights form

You say how much longer will it last

Still waiting silently for the next storm

Liked it Chris.. indeed "the future meets the past " ... c'est la vie.. Lily wave
I can feel the tension that the threat of storms bring Yankee.
Nature just sending out a reminder of
its power.
Good write.

for my tropical storm
which comes slow and fast gone
its noisy the least
but the lightning is the beast shock
