All Good Things

All good things must come to an end
We can’t go tip-toeing along pretending
Things will get better when they won’t
It does really come down to character
Honesty will rule the day if you choose
Nothing short of that really gains traction
We can live in servitude to each other
Separate without any or all constraints
Or continue to be herding in new directions
We don’t even choose or ever aspire to go
What gives this dance the wrong romance
Is neither I nor you wanted to commence it
So lets just do the right thing and how
Walk away with our heads held high
Not romanticizing something unsustainable
Life goes on and so it shall too pass behind us

I totally agree with your sentiment. Between the drama and the false expectations, it is too much. Sadly though, many seem to chase after it or embrace it.

Though-provoking read.thumbs up wine

you are so right, but the media do the most damage these days, all trying to make a name for themselves and twist words.
I enjoyed the read also
