Your presence just a picture frozen in my mind Attracted by your tale of loneliness; for all of us a common design Your curiosity is aroused as if I am just a few blocks away Geography dictates across many lifetimes our unfulfilled dreams will ultimately pay.
Photographs alone cannot adequately relate the tale Of missed opportunities that make our future expectations appear colorless and pale Vintage eyes of blue search continuously across the waves Forgetting at times that common agreements of necessity alone; a relationship can save.
Frozen in the seasons of tradition we follow a general course Fighting the ongoing siege of reality; our life dominated admission of remorse A half eaten plate of happiness we push it gently aside Holding on to our old proven convictions; allowing stubbornness to remain our guide.
Convenience is our good luck charm; held closely under lock and key We want our success stories; after long periods of emotional turmoil; to turn out quite easily Day after day we resume our quest looking for a compatable spark Nothing ever comes without difficulty to any one of us involved in mutual affairs of the heart.

About this poem:
All the world is a stage. We view perspective friends living at all corners of the globe. Reality prohibits our dreams from coming true. Nothing comes easy for many of us. We struggle on on a daily basis hoping for a solution to our problems. E mail correspondence alone just will not do. Activism is required for contacts to bear fruit. Many pantries remain barren during the harvest season.
this is a fine poem hank with "some" sentiments that i agree with. Many though, both men and women have crossed oceans with barely a picture of a possible partner to lead them on, and succeeded, or not after much effort. well done. "A half eaten plate of happiness we push it gently aside" great line ;-)
