Pattern of Beats

Pit, pit, patter.
Could something be the matter?
Pitter, pitter, pat
What in the world is that?

Thud-ah, thud-ah, thump.
A ball of muddy clump.
Skip a part, skip a part.
There goes my silly heart.

The pattern of beats,
Two beats, three beats, one.
The sound, so lively,
Can be great fun.

Walking shoes,
Talking tongues,
Clicking hooves,
Swishing moves.
All have beats,
That put us in the groove.

wow...how innovative you are..such simplistic beauty realized by you, then shared, opening our eyes to see that which has been before us the whole time...lovely..
