CHILDS' PLAY (All rights reserved)R.B.

My child wakes up with a love for life, full of mischief and gets into strife,He turned to me and says mummy i love you then gives me a big hug,I kissed him ,off he ran to play,I asked him sternly to stay out of mischief and prayed to jesus to give me some relief,In a distance i watched him play,Hoping whatever he builds will stay,As he begins to build with his blocks they began to fall,The child put on a terrible display and throws them against the wall,I came to his a aid with a gentle voice,I'ts ok my little love,I rebuilt the blocks as high as the doves,The look of delight on the little boys' face as he says thankyou mummy and continues to play.Written By Robyn Bashford,Written on 20.6.1999. Wow!! Your poem touched me...our mother and fathers patience knows no bounds. And a child's resilience is something to be treasured as well. Thank you!!bouquet
