Beneath the Ground

Starting from a seed
A miracle from above
Staying hidden beneath the pure earth
Then slowly sprouting up
Hidden still for many years
No one seeing the true gift
In the oddest place it learns to grow
From the minerals God gives
Years down the line, it peaks to view
People passing by to take a look
And as many say you can not judge
Just a cover of a book
Standing tall and proud, and oh so strong
It can not be torn down
A simple tree from a simple seed
That grew beneath the ground
