I'm really down..

...summer heat
and the days are too long
nights are even worse
without you in my song
how can I ever sing if you're not along?

oh, of days spent before
instead I find, you no longer at my door
drag of passage of time without you

maybe..it was love
now leaves are changing in the wind
doing the new low down...
down low

went down to the infirmary
thought that I might see you
...and say goodbye
but I was the coldest one there

you weren't removed from life
...just, my life
gone only from me

miss your eyes, your laugh, your honesty
tearful chuckle of your childlike humor
weighted down by your intense caring
...goodbye love

hedi: isn't it AMAZING the power of music to move our soul. I too liked poem & stanza 4. Can hear the strains of St. James Infirmary...like and old dream eh?

Very well written, Hedi. I don't recognise the songs and am just hoping you are ok, pal. This was read by me as death, loss.comfort
