The sun sinks slowly into the sea and golden Light turns to pink before settling into the black of Night.
Night falls silently across the land as stars stud its black fabric, a dark blanket of Serenity.
Serenity that covers all except myself and as the fateful hour of Sleep approaches I despair to enter a Dream.
For it is in this Dream that you and I will Meet And like all my dreams of late You will say the Words i long to hear.
For a fleeting moment before the Sun comes up My Heart will soar My Spirit lift.
But as I open my eyes to the harsh light of Day i'll remember and then my Heart, and my Spirit will once again fall in Flame.
So as the hour of Sleep marches closer (my Heart drums the beat in my ears) I resolve to prevent my dreaming. But the battle is lost, as my eyes fall shut and behind their lids begin to dream.
