Ho Carlamee,

Forgive me if I placed you in an awkward position by asking you for a love poem. It's sad to hear that you haven't found " The One"
in your life. But you come across as being a strong woman of principle and nobody's fool.
Never say never. Thank you for your indepth reply, its appreciated.

Best wishes,

RE: Poetry Corner Challenge.

Mick asked: "What about sharing a Carlamee love story ?"

Carlamee is a beautiful, intelligent woman, that enjoys making friends with people who share the same morals, values, and outlook on life like she does.
She has never been in love, but one day she hopes to feel those butterfly in her stomach, lose concentration while thinking of her love.

She is polite and respectful to others and always return messages she receives from members of CS. Although, communication is important, most men on CS are incapable of communicating.

These are the categories of Men that contact her on CS:

The profile readers: These Men contact her and said they want to be friends on CS. They get upset when she refuses to read their profiles. Carlamee is smart enough to know people present themselves well in a profile. She interacts with people to know exactly who they are by their responses and views on different topics.

The narcissists: These Men make contact as they think they are special. Their multiple homes, acreage of land, large investments, multiple cars, etc, etc, are not impressive. They have no communication skills and get upset when their ego’s are not stroke.

The misogynists: These are the dumbest set of people on CS. They contact me and are very critical of women, yet they want to be friend with a woman.

The angry: These Men are unable to forgive and forget. They blame the ex’s for all their relationship problems. They become angrier when told to heal before trying to find new love. They don’t take rejection well.

The rude: These Men will send a one liner and they expect me to know what they are talking about. My usually response to them is to have manners, be courteous, and introduce themselves properly.

The drop ins: These Men are not regulars on CS, but when they sign in, they are sure to send a “hello.”

The normal: These Men have good communication skills. They share what’s going on in their lives. They don’t want to date, but they appreciate the friendships they make on CS.

The Men in the first 5 categories fall under the saying “you can’t teach old dogs new tricks.”
They are on CS all day everyday wishing and hoping, but is not willing to fix the problems in their lives.

There you go OP. Carlamee has never been in love and probable never will be. She is a happy and lovely lady.

cheers

RE: Poetry Corner Challenge.

"The treacherous subject
is "Love."

This will be a challenge for most CS'ers. You know most of them are angry, hurt, hates women, and play the blame game. Lets see how creative they can be.

Here is my made up poem: lol

Connecting Singles

Good morning Mick.

Thanks for your positive insight to my "Connecting Singles" poem (that does not rhyme) lol
We all know many on here are carrying heavy baggages. It is sad to see how they play the "BLAME" game instead of healing.

Connecting Singles

Hello Salamuna.
That is great to read you have online friends. They are great. You are smart to know that not every connection will be "love connection." Keeping the others as friends gives a warm feeling to share messages with them. Have a great Sunday. hug

RE: Where is your love , God?

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.
And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.
Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?
Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

RE: Connecting Singles

Hi Carlamee,

At the time of posting this comment you have 74 views and 2 replies. There are so many members here who just don't get involved, which is very sad really as you have opened up the perfect topic for discussion.
I think one needs to be very impartial here and not carry any expectations. I found some lovely on-line friends here that I value greatly,
And I like the Poetry corner very much.
This is a good post and I hope it encourages more feedback.

RE: Connecting Singles

Much depends upon motives why people are here in this zoo. In theory this zoo and its noble intentions to create a place for people to correspond and to learn about cultural points of view is probably why they created this site. Nevertheless, it's to each individual responsibility and choice who they want to play with.

Since there is no monetary investment made by individuals their incentive is diminished and hence, nobody is going to put much effort in chasing after anyone to form relationships especially intimate or otherwise.

This site is pretty much filled with miserable bitchy middle aged divorced women who are jilted over past failed relationships along with the scammers whose only motive is to get whatever they can from vulnerable hard luck losers who can't get a real girl up close and personal.

Nevertheless, we are all here for personal reasons and motives. If people can't learn to get along with one another sitting 1000 to 11000 miles away imagine the chaos in the same room 11 ft away.

One thing that would cause this site to fail faster is if everyone had to take a personality test before signing up. Or everyone would be matched within groups that would match their personality.

If that being the case the largest filled category would probably be the personality disorder group.

RE: Nothing Gold Can Stay

We don’t need to follow rules Or listen to what others say We challenge meanings in the songs And head out without a reservation

We don’t care about the norms Or the judgments of society We drink out of paper bags And waste time is time not wasted

We live for the moment And enjoy every sensation We are the rebels of our age And we make our own creation

RE: Where is your love , God?

It is amazing how evil can follow from generations to generations.
Beliefs are stronger than common sense, compassion, and human dignity.

During these times some may question if there is a God. dunno

RE: Where is your love , God?

Salamuna, God is forever present, we who believe are protected through all circumstances. We must hold onto our faith to get us through. Remember man is of free will. I believe the bible is for filling. We must rely on God's love and grace to sustain us in good and bad times. I understand your questioning, I have been there myself. Sometimes good comes out of the most tragic situations, but when you are hurting its hard to grasp that. teddybear

RE: The Jungle

In our uptempo pace lifestyle, there are so many things that pass us by without notice. Live the moment, slow down if necessary. Time passes fast, but our life is short, so live it to your fullest. Jaded, nicely written with life's wisdom. SMbouquet

RE: Mother Nature Speaks.

Mankind right now is on the verge of a cliff all the way around. Destroying the earth - slaughtering fellow mankind - teetering into eternal Hell for all time. Pray for us all.

RE: Where is your love , God?

Praying for you and your loved ones Lily. It is horrendous what is going on in Israel right now. The woman and children being tortured - only demons of the Devil would do such terrible things. In Revelations - it is predicted end times will be really bad. Christians too have been tortured for our faith because the Devil is desperate as he knows he is running out of time. Praying for our Lord and Savior to return soon! Sending hugs.

Love,
Kathy

RE: Where is your love , God?

God isn't afraid of your questions Salamuna, while you may not know the answers, God does. No question is capable of stumping the Creator of the universe, who holds all things together. Bad things do happen Salamuna, the Bible tells is in Matthew 25:41 that one day, all evil will be done away with. Until that day, we can rely on God's grace. He doesn't always prevent tragedy, but his grace will always see us through it. I can just pray and fast for those suffering with pain and grief so that their heart may open up to the gospel.
I just want to tell you about a recent testimony on my behalf. Not only that, but I was suffering from tinnitus for weeks, unable to sleep well. I was hearing my heart beat in my ears, something you do not want to have. My church group prayed over me and I told them that I will have to go to the ENT doctor. After that, my symptoms vanished in thin air. When I went to the ENT he ordered a sonogram of my carotid arteries on my neck b/c the hearing test compared to last one two years were stable, but he wanted to dig in the causes of this. When the test result can back they were NORMAL.

RE: Where is your love , God?

I don't blame you for questioning God at this time Lily, its really horrendous to see what lengths political leaders will go to in order to inflict devastation on their neighbours.
Alas its the unfortunate civilians that suffer,
as the world just looks on. The chances of a last minute mitzvah seems very slim.
Another powerful poem written straight from your heart.
Take care Lily,
