RE: DARKNESS TO LIGHT

LCBR, faith is not metaphorical, since God's words will never suggest what's not the truth.
Being reborn by salvation has been experienced by so many. Humbling yourself to God is a long process. The transformation of yourself to being a better version of yourself.
Capturing GP's message is interpreted by so many in so many different ways but at least it brings light to the darkness. SM

THE OYSTER AND THE PEARL

Thank you South Miami. Hi Red - it's been a long time. Still not back to normal in writing since COVID. For reason lost the creative juices. Thanks .

RE: DARKNESS TO LIGHT

Hi, GP, I enjoyed your poem, even though, as you know, I'm not religious. To me this stuff is purely metaphorical. However, that may not be a bad thing, because, the take away message, for me, is that anyone can "rise again" - that is to say, in most instances, a person can "rise above themselves" and be "reborn" in this way. That is to say, become a better person (or "version of themselves", as Oprah Winfrey would say)....anyway, having said all of that, happy Easter!

DARKNESS TO LIGHT

I can only say that - He has Risen - He is Alive and thank you God that when the world does end or my life - whichever comes first - I know you will be there to catch me! Amen!!

RE: THE WALK(of shame)

What happened to Right and Wrong, we have blurred the lines between the truth and a lie. Now we call them alternative facts. Somewhere we adopted the notion that telling the truth and standing up for what's right is weak. If a lie is repeated enough times its becomes questionable if its a lie. A lie is dressed up and it's colorful and need a lot of props. The truth is plain and never dressed up so its less attractive to those who have no principal or respect for that that is plain an simple. To some a lie is more beneficial, it gains $$$ and perceived power for those are attached. Look at how many people are willing to accept and defend a lie, opposed to those who will stand up for the truth.

THE WALK(of shame)

I heard about Clarence Thomas. More than 20 years! Power absolutes corrupts! It doesn’t stop there though his wife was also part of the insurrection! Sad thing is he’s there for life. Nothing happens to these people. So there’s no incentive to do better…smh

Having a heart broken is a painful thing. Only you can manage it. Writing about it alleviates it.
