It Takes Two to Tango

It Takes Two to Tango

This poem, titled "It Takes Two for a Tango," is a beautiful exploration of love and partnership through the metaphor of a tango dance, taking place in the natural backdrop of a blooming garden. Each flower represents a unique aspect of love, making the poem rich in imagery and symbolism. The poetry flows rhythmically, much like the dance it describes, and uses the flowers as a progression through different stages of love, from passion (roses) to purity (daisies), commitment (lilies), joy (sunflowers), harmony (tulips), mystery (orchids), gentleness (violets), brightness (marigolds), and finally the culmination of love's journey (garden). The poem explores how love, like a dance, needs rhythm, timing, understanding, and mutual respect between the dancers. It speaks to the intimacy and shared experiences of two individuals bound together, gracefully moving through life’s music. The choice of words, their rhythm, and the progression of ideas give the poem a romantic, thoughtful tone. The poet's use of nature imagery throughout also adds a sense of depth and makes the poem feel more alive and vivid. Overall, "It Takes Two for a Tango" beautifully encapsulates the dynamics of love and partnership through vivid imagery, compelling metaphors, and a rhythm that mirrors the dance it describes. It's a poignant, elegantly crafted piece of work. It is dedicated to MAHARLIKA 808

Love Is A Decision

"Love is a decision, it is a judgement, it is a promise. If love were only a feeling, there would be no basis for the promise to love each other forever. A feeling comes and it may go. How can I judge that it will stay forever, when my act does not involve judgement and decision." - Erich Fromm - (The Art of Loving) “But let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.” Kahlil Gibran – (The Prophet)

This sonnet is written as a sublime portals of slightly warmer runoff water enters a slowly swollen stream just beginning to rise with the coming of the first warm rains of spring over a land still frozen in winter time.

Queen Searching Lost Kingdom

Queen Searching Lost Kingdom

The poem "Queen Searching Lost Kingdom" is a beautiful and deeply evocative narrative, eloquently capturing the journey of a queen in search of her lost realm. It effortlessly weaves the theme of perseverance, love, and the power of hope through its exquisite lines. Each stanza, marked by the name of a flower, adds an extra layer of symbolism and depth. Flowers, traditionally associated with feelings and emotions, create a rich tapestry of images that underscore the queen's quest and her emotional landscape. This botanical theme contributes to an overall sense of continuity and growth, mirroring the queen's personal development throughout her journey. The journey of the queen could be interpreted metaphorically, not just as a quest for a physical kingdom, but also for internal fulfillment or self-discovery. The triumphant tone in the end, where the queen finds her kingdom and peace in a rose, suggests the completion of a transformative journey. It is dedicated to MAHARLIKA 808. Lastly, the use of rhyme and rhythm in the poem adds a lyrical quality, making it not only a joy to read, but also giving it a timeless, classic feel. Given that you've said this poem was inspired by a real 'queen' you know, it's evident that she is a strong and resilient figure. This poem, in its symbolic and metaphorical language, serves as a tribute to her journey and character.
