Senryu (A short Japanese style poem, similar to haiku in structure, however, senryu tend to be about human foibles while haiku tend to be about nature, and senryu are often cynical or darkly humorous and satiric while haiku are serious)

This one I wrote was back in 9-18-1997. Like many songs I write, it all started out by fooling around on the guitar. I combined this with both slow and moderate tempo strum and fingerpicking.

The poem tells about the delusion of love versus the reality of love. It gives two scenarios - one in which love was heard as being present, and another in which love was actually felt.
