The Mask!

We are the Humans with the Mask,
generations after generations,
who can not make the task.

We hide from truth, we hide from facts,
as developed, as a sivilisation,
still far away from right tracks.

We have the Democraty on our lips,
we talk about all rights,
when selfish care of our self is on the tip.

As also alien we are to our self,
we can not find the match,
and other in the same, can not ether help.

Trend of Family has split in parts,
life is wild, with all to trust on condoms,
that take away the feelings and lost is our Hearts.

We kill on street, we kill in school,
the Love of Mother has been lost,
with carere her as Master lure.

We have the faith,we have a god,
shining bright for all we want,
and money is, that what we call.

We dig and dig from Mother Earth,
taking all with greedy minds,
and leaving nothing for new birth.

We play the Heart of tolerance and good,
to spread this shadow faith,
but using force or hook as a bud.

This is the shadow faith of Western World,
so close to the brink of Human existence,
with all of it just out of worth.

About this poem:
We Western people think we are the best, that we have the best system and we know more, but when my Son visited Baduy Land in Indonesia and stay with them for many days, he confronted a very simple way of living, where Truth was the first priority in their society.
They have live in the way they live now, for 400 years, isolated from the outer world and everything is following the way of nature.
They even sleep in a short Bag on the floor in a similar way as the fetus in the womb.
The most impressive was, that all these days he was there in the willage,he never heard any child crying, no fights, no arguing, not even any higher voice, all was peace and everybody just had their own place in their society, did their own task and everything was to take care of everybodys need together like a unity.
They dont allow almost anything from the outside world to be bringed in, not even toothpaste.
This is the way of life, where you live to your needs only and you don't destroy the nature and because nobody run after what they want or demand for, there are no fights and arguments either and the family life is stable and healthy and children feel safe and are because of that mentally well-balanced and that is why hole the society is in peace.
A society built up with needs, is a unite, when the society built up with extreme life of wants is also extreme individual, what automatically burst confrontations already from the first years of childrens life and ending as adult with crimes and even killings, what this people in unite, don't have at all.
The funny thing is, that a lot of Western people, keep these people living in that simple way, as stupid and that they need to get more knowledge, the right understanding about God, they need money so that they can buy what Western people can buy and of course they have to get the so important Democraty too.
In fact these people have the knowledge that is based on Wisdom, they don't need crazy houses,no horrible expensive healt care and not any Police force with to quick trigger fingers and no Jails full with inmates and just because they have a society, that live mentally as also physically a very healthy life, starting from the smallest babyes.

IED

IED
Improvised
Explosive
Device
Hundreds of thousands of soldiers come back
Scarred by these devices
Some show their scars
Like the man who took my money at the hockey game
Making change with one hand and a stump on the other arm
Many more suffer the mental scars unseen
Anxiety, depression, dark memories, nightmares
Recovery comes in many forms
Making masks to show their true faces
The ones that hide in their minds
Climbing mountains is another way
Princess Diana fought against these bombs
Many millions still lie in wait in countries all over the world
Landmines from the Vietnam War and others
Improvised Explosive Devices

About this poem:
I was reading an article in my latest National Geographic about the soldiers making masks as a part of their therapy and recovery from injuries to their brains from the shock waves created by these IEDs.

The Door

Ahead in thought there lies a door
Through which I dare to pass
It says "Come take the step,go through,if you search for
even more"
But as I near the entrance bright,I feel the need to pause
For once I go beyond that door my life will never be
the same, I shall be free...of mankinds's faults and negatives
that govern you and me.

Within that door I dare to dream
of worlds with difference clear
that offer newness to behold, matchless dreams that draw me near.
Here are found no common things, described as "used to be"
Only thoughts that promise change
but shared by more than me.

I would make all new, leave the old, dream of better things
Take up the challenge to rise above on higher thoughts as wings.
For I fear not failure, not live to please
the crowd that shares this world
Among them all there must be one who hears the call like me

Walls must come down, rules can dissolve
replaced by open minds
that take the place of all we knew
and shared with all mankind
So join with me and take the step
step through that open door
for there we find the very thing
the world is searching for.

your quest

gold hidden in the rugged earth
upon which lay your quest
yet murky and turbid is the dew
that is harvested in a cup of sand
your weakness never sets
over the parch and scorching heat
nor will your strength
ever laid to rest
until you will run out
of your sweats
you will want to know
deep within your heart
why all this land
is covered with blood
and yet the world lay witness
and mightily unconcerned
to its naked plight

your mind will never fathom
why the rift is burning strong
so you will keep on digging
until you reach the bottom
hoping it will lay bare
all the reasons,
that this blood covered land
is a conflict no more
in the mighty difference
of white and black color
but the gap of those
who have and who don't

the question is...will man ever learn
how to vanish indifference?
give those that have not
and even out the earth's wealth
so revolt will not explode?

perhaps nobody really cares...
you are alone, abandoned
in this quest...buried
in a drifting sand
stained with ruthlessness
by the greed of human hand
glued forever
in human blood.

A Night at the Casino

The evening had started well
with a wager put on red,
and both of them were happy
when it won just like he said.

It wasn't long before they were
the centre of attention,
with each cumulative winning bet
increasing surrounding tension.

The manager was hovering,
watching his casino lose.
He kept a smile on his face,
and plied them with more booze.

The hours passed, but they didn't quit,
they just kept on and on.
Until the early hours,
when everything went wrong

This time he placed a hefty bet,
all on thirty two.
And when it lost he raised his hands,
and told them he was through.

But just like every gambler,
he didn't keep his word.
Further bets now followed,
further losses now incurred.

His hands they now were shaking,
with every bet he placed
His money was now dwindling,
as a winning bet he chased.

Now the dawn was breaking,
and he had lost it all.
They walked outside to daylight,
though tall he felt so small.

She glared at him and spoke her mind,
"I kept telling you to stop"
He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly
"The whole nights been a flop"

He lit a fag and breathed it deep,
while she finished her champagne
"It seems to happen every night,
it's getting quite mundane."

And so that evening finished,
in the early morn.
But they'd be back this evening,
this story is their norm.

Night At The Movie Theater

Stand in line
Get my ticket
Wait in another line
Get my water
It's cheaper than pop
1.75 vs 4.50
And I don't have to miss the movie to go to the bathroom
Plus I save about 1100 calories on refills
Beefsticks, soft serve ice cream, chocolate covered pretzels
Miss the mini tubs of icecream, Moose Tracks was my favorite
Grab some napkins
Wait for the movie
See a local ad on suicide prevention from Iowa County high schoolers
Same county I work in
Same night I saw Robin Williams in Night at the Museum
Get some prezel bites with cheese later
Discover a big cheese stain on my shirt
Got the shirt from Bubba Gump Shimp at the Mall of America
Play some pinball
Win one game
Drive to Walmart to kill some time from 8:45 to about 9:10
Drive home
Still need to put the movie stub in my scrap book
I use old calendars for my scrap booking

Follow the Truth

“Christmas” the celebration reached again
New Year also near
What we did in the past
What we will do in the future
It’s nothing to worry about in the present
I am taking the oath “I will just follow the truth”

I looked at my right and left
I looked at my front and back
Every where I can see “Sin” more than “Truth”
This is the time to take the oath
“I will just follow the truth".

Who agrees?

In the 1970's a prolific author & editor wrote:

Proclaim your rarity.

Ever since, many have written:

Insist on individualism.

Now, who would agree;

A vast difference between the two.

Distractions

All the news talks about is the cops killing black people
The commercials selling pills that poison
Drones flying overhead
The weight loss diets
Cell phones
Endless gadgets that require vast amounts of money to maintain
distractions from peace
distractions from our connections to others
distractions from our connection to God
distractions from our connection to nature
Time we will never get back
Time to rest
Materialism
The cult of it's not important how you feel, but how you look
Lies told to scare
Lies told to make obedient consumers of us
Consumers of worthless crap

About this poem:
Just thinking of all the things that the media pumps us with that really is just propaganda. We need to spend more time getting right with ourselves and each other, than hitting the malls for the latest gadget.

Ignorance

Common sense is not a gift,
Without it people seem to drift.
By paying attention it is acquired.
Then you can know what has transpired.

It is so easy to watch and learn,
Then you will know how to discern.
Knowledge can be gained by reading a book;
Some are not willing to take a look

There are those that can't read or write,
They can learn with or without eye sight.
To not want to learn could mean you are lazy,
Either that or your just plain crazy.

Wisdom is something that can't be bought,
It is from God and it must be sought.
Wisdom is used for applying your knowledge.
Having wisdom in life gives you an edge.

Ignorance in life is so very rough.
It causes the simple things to be tough.
Not learning is mentally not growing,
All of your days will be tougher not knowing.

For what we don't know we always pay.
We seek help from others all through the day.
The wise all know there is a better way,
You simply listen to what God has to say.
