My Battleship USS Missouri 1945 Part-3

1. Alien Race had admitted they had probed my sisters mind and my mind much more further.
I had asked "just why?"
They said, "We had found something in both of your minds that you both did in common at different times in your lives."
I said, "And what is that?"
They said, "your earth calls this place Library."

2. "We sent some numbers of our people to your earth library, sent our people to look like earth people."
"While a number of our people were reading your library books, we found lots of vital information we had copied in our special abilities, these areas we had decided to copy your earth calls them careers."

Once again

Once again in the Poet's Corner
Pass the night in a discourse with friends.
If you were a part of poets' forum
You will never regret you have stayed.

I go slowly from poem to poem,
Looking first for the newest ones,
Then go back to familiar verses,
Those that once touched my soul so hard.

Poet's corner is always in motion,
Its contributors take turns in race,
When one part of the world is sleeping,
Then another one picks up the pace.

Poet's Corner is people's refuge,
You're invited - don't need any pass.
Here you meet with old friends, smiling faces,
Here's encouragement, sympathy, love.

You can pass the whole night making comments,
Reading poems, enjoying the rhymes,
Thinking, what is the point poet's making,
Hoping some time you'll write as he does.

Sympathetic and witty comments,
Make you think of the poem twice,
And discussion that's launched over poem
Makes you stay and endure to the last.

Oh, I've learned very much from Poet's Corner,
Never thought would entice me so much.
In my greetings to you, dear poets,
I would wish you success and great love!

Lullaby

Sleep my baby, sleep my dear,
Iav-nanina-o.
It’s still dark, day’s yet not breaking,
Iav-nanina-o.
Nana I’m singing so that you sleep,
Singing you so that quiet you be,
Violet you bore with love in its heart,
Rose with a joy has brought you up.
Should Our Lady’s will be such
That I shall see you grown up,
Delia nana, my little one,
Watching me now with cherubic smile,
Sleep is coming, close your eyes,
Delia-nana-nanao!

About this poem:
This is the song Lullaby (Iavnana), the lyrics of which I have translated for you, dear poets, from Georgian. You could listen to the music, composed by our well known composer, to the heartfelt performance, and follow the lines of lyrics in English. The Georgian poetess Lali Gulisashvili is the author of the poem "Iavnana" (Lullaby). Below I attach the song. Hope you will enjoy it!

I'm not trying to cross any line

I'm not trying to cross any line
But it is so hard, when this life is actually mine
I'm trying to avoid stepping on a mine
But I'm on a minefield, and nothing is fine

The line between life and death seems to be so fine
So don't ask me to hang here, not crossing the line
When my life is hanging on a line so fine
The line has been crossed by someone Divine

I'm trying to keep walking with every step
I'm hoping to live with every breath
I hope that God will hold my hand
And be my guide until the end

I do not know what the end will be
But I still have hope that He's with me
It could end here for me tonight
But if He's with me, I'm gonna be all right

If I do not make it to the end of the line
The only life lost is gonna be mine
But if I do make it to the end of the field
Then I'll enjoy every breath of the wind

Be My Last Love Story ...

I grew up on Mills & Boon
and Barbara Cartland's romance pocketbooks ...
Then loved the romance films
like GHOST and more recently, The Notebook...
My last ever crush when I turned into my late 50's
became Viggo Mortensen
from HIDALGO and RETURN OF THE KING
from that ever so loved trilogy Lord of the Rings ...
Viggo's Prince Aragorn became
my more realistic knight in shining armor & hero ,
no superhuman powers but
with the qualities of The One , all in a row ...
Determined, with a loving heart,
in the face of fear still brave,
with weather beaten good looks,
the kind who ... (like Arwen , his love interest in the same movie) ,
I can love to my grave ...

Late in life, I unexpectedly started to write poems
of romance & sensual intimacy ...
In that way, I am writing my heart's love songs
whether happily or tainted with melancholy ...
I embrace it all
for I want my verses to reflect me , always truthfully ...
But admittedly so,
after all the pocketbook romances, movies,
and now my poems that I can share & show ...
I yearn so much for my own life to give birth
to its real love story that all this waiting for is worth ...
And at this very moment in my life, I truly feel
that I want YOU to be the one
to make that last love story of mine finally real ...

That whatever else can be dealt with,
for it feels we fit so well like that proverbial glove ...
I feel no apprehension ... crippling hesitation...
or nagging doubt...
What there is ... is the gut feeling
that you have what it takes
to fill in everything that, all this time,
I have, unfortunately, gone without ...

Tribute to, 'The Terrible Three'

Ok guys we gotta watch our backs because
the Terrible Three are planning to escape
from their bamboo cages, and they vow
to hogtie us while we sleep.

You know who they are:
Two rebellious maidens from
the north country and one
from the south..
1. 'Godsprincess,' will neither eat
or sleep til she hatches some
dastardly plan to ensure our
captivity. She plans to put yokes
on our necks and march us through
Town forcing us to sing,
'Hail to the Women'.
But you gotta watch her. She'll
sweet talk you till she gets you
close to her cage then she'll
strangle you with her nylons.

2. 'Doglover.' Now with this maiden
you have to sleep with one eye
open. We had to double up on
the guard with this one. She vows
to drag us by our heels from our
tents and force us to do some
wild and crazy dance around the
campfire wearing nothing but
our boxer shorts.

3. 'Southmiami.' This maiden lives
in the south country and you
definitely don't wanna be
snatched up by this chick. She
vows to throw us to the alligators
in some backwoods swamp while
the 'Terrible Three', dance drinking
moonshine screeching in hysterical
laughter.
Oh, yeah, I'm well aware of their
devious schemes and even as
I write they're crouched in a
huddle snickering like wild
woman.

Therefore, be on guard oh
noble knight's for ye know
not the day nor hour when
ye might be dinner for
the vultures!
Lol.

Enough As Can Be ....

I want that somebody who'll be the first to support me,
protect ... defend ..... console me ...
Not the first one to emotionally hurt me ...
demean me... debase me...
just because I dont meet exacting expectations...
not up to par with one's "taste"...
And thereafter , seemingly punched in the gut
before getting thrown off the curb..
made me feel ... for one brief moment ...
like a crumpled piece of waste ...

It perplexes me how somebody can hurt
the one they supposedly love..
when I would have thrown myself infront
to protect him from any peril thereof...
Pointless to ask " how" or "why" ...
no any reshoot possible...
no words said nor deed done deletable
to prevent the tears
already shed and now dry...

I have learned that while giving / sharing
most of my love & heart to one I love...
wisest to save enough for SELF-RESPECT ,
to cushion any hurt ...
if ever that ship hits the rocks
and gets tragically wrecked ...
A partner should be one's rock & safe haven ...
the very first one to care , shield and defend
instead of the ego ruining it to a sorry end ...

About this poem:
Going through the wringer as depicted in the poem... is a most harrowing experience , specially when one didn't see it coming ... Though a little worse for wear.. those who are well grounded recover intact .. and all the wiser for it ... inspite of the momentary hurt felt and pain endured ...

Sharing this poem is also an ode to those people ... women in particular, but also men .. who can say " been there... done that ... moved on " ...

Another Me

Who are you, I'd like to know
For you leave my soul so hollow
You entered my life, and then
Something changed, can't tell you when

I'm not sure when you arrived
But it didn't take long for you to thrive
To lock my heart, deep inside
Somewhere in there, you reside

Rest assured, my dear, with ease
I've been here, always, to appease
Though I had to intervene
For I wanted you to glean

At first, I let you be
I didn't interfere, you see
I didn't want to cause you pain
Or drive you to disdain

But when you intervened
You made me seem so weaned
Like my heart's turned to stone
And won't be loved, it's known

I know this, my dear, it's true
But it's for your own good, too
For if you don't love, you'll find
You won't suffer in your mind

So what do you want me to do?
Stay alone and silent, too?
How long do you think I'll last?
Living life, steadfast

Don't worry anymore
It's better off, I'm sure
If someone comes along
And you believe they belong

I promise, I'll let you go
To love her too, you know
And if she loves you back
Together, you'll stay on track

So do you give me your word
That you won't cause me hurt?
And that you're not with me
Just for your own decree

You haven't realized
That we're just one in disguise
I am you, and you are me
Created by God's decree

You can trust me, without fail
And you'll see, your life will prevail
I wouldn't cause you pain
For in your body, I remain

So now, let me tell myself
What has been, shouldn't dwell
I'll make peace within my mind
And hope that happiness, I'll find

Infatuation.

I suppose even heaven can wait,
So is the burden on the heart
Knowing the disapointment you sense and feel
Once there never forgotten?
We have to move on
Like a train leaving a station but not knowing if you will return
Waiting can drain you to the core
Sure it was nice but to be perfect in this world does not seem to exist
We cannot close the door but the draught can be disturbing
A man has to take it, to be a Man is to take it
Move on until the next time it happens but there is always a chance
A chance that it will never happen again!

Eight lines to Bacchus

The grape spurts forth in gross and sweet profusion,
The sticky juice under the crushers' feet,
When brewed a while, it leads to sweet delusion,
Thus helps shy lovers - when they first do meet,
Others find it brings them much confusion,
The morning after, when it has them beat;-
And Bacchus, from on high - I hear his laughter,
Don't let this god of wine now be your master.
