LONELYNESS

LONELYNESS
Longing fills the hours of my night, Lavender dreams in twilight's sight,
On a canvas of Daisies painted in the moonlight.
Nights like these whisper a silent plight,
Eternal echoes of Orchids taking flight.

Yearning for a touch, a voice so sweet, like an Azalea's repeat,
Each moment, like an Iris, feels incomplete.
Shadows, like Nightshades, claim defeat,
Sorrows have found a quiet retreat.

Over the hills, beneath the indigo sky, Lilies lie,
Night paints a picture, an intense outcry.
Laying bare the heart, the whispers of goodbye,
Yearns for the dawn, a relief to comply.

Nightfall cloaks the world in a tranquil haze,
Each star a beacon, like a Sunflower's gaze.
Solitude, like a Tulip, speaks in mysterious ways,
Seducing the heart in its intricate maze.

Sighs of loneliness, the silent bell, a Rose can tell,
On memories of love, my thoughts dwell.
Never again to be under the spell,
Love’s fleeting dance, like a Daffodil, I remember it well.

Yearning whispers in the night, no one to appease,
Eclipsed by the silence, brought to its knees.
Solitary heart, like a Lotus, longing for release,
Strumming the chords of a melancholic piece.

Over the horizon, the morning sun will rise, like Marigolds surprise,
New day, new hope beneath the azure skies.
Love, they say, never truly dies,
Yearning, like a Violet, in the heart forever lies.

Echoes of the past in the corridor of time, just like a Primrose's rhyme,
Softly murmur a forgotten love rhyme.
Seducing the senses, an ageless mime,
Solitude's song, beautifully sublime, like the call of a Jasmine's chime.

About this poem:
The poem captures the profound sense of longing and solitude experienced by an individual. With each verse initiated by a letter from the word "lonelyness", it outlines the emotions evoked by solitude in a romantic, melancholic, and alluring tone.

Each verse also mentions a different flower, which adds a layer of metaphor and symbolism to the expressed emotions. The poem moves through the phases of night into dawn, mirroring the progression of the speaker's feelings - from deep yearning and a sense of loss, to a new hope and acceptance of solitude.

In essence, it's a journey of an individual embracing their solitude, experiencing a range of emotions from longing and melancholy, to seduction and romance. Despite the loneliness, there is a beauty in the experience, much like the beauty of the flowers that accompany each verse. It's a celebration of resilience, the human spirit, and the ability to find beauty even in solitude.

Rosa

Rosa

Like a flower that blossoms in the wind
Her petals flowing and grasping life
And holding on to her faith
Like there was no tomorrow

Her aura, presence and beauty
Her awareness of who she can be
Who she wants to be
And who she will become

Her spoken word
Her interesting and intriguing mind
Her passion for conversation
And her strive for honesty

A lady of physical beauty
A girl that deserves respect
In all aspects of her life
For it is she; who holds the key

Within her essence, there is a presence
Of a soulful and loyal human being
Her joyous smile would warm your heart
And make your dreams become real

Her free spirit is genuine just like a dare
Her pride and self awareness
Her personality and intelligence
Just proves; she cares

For it is I who has witnessed all of this, on many an occasion.

Karrol Levy I love you

Kindred spirits can’t remain apart.
All the land and seas cannot divide.
Remnants of our former we still are.
Rarest gems must not be cast aside.
Our fate is written in the stars.
Love I’ve felt for you I cannot hide.

Lovely you, your skin your eyes and hair.
Everything for you I’d do I swear.
Vast, deep, through to marrow, bone,
Years pass my love you’ve always known.

I will,

Love you until,
One day past eternity,
Verse and chapter, through adversity and
Every day after.

U!

I am Not A Poet !!!!!

I am not a poet but feel like I want to write one.
I am not a singer , but feel like I want to sing a song.
I am not a musician but feel like I want to play a musical instrument.
I am not an author but feel like I want to write a book.
I am not a magician but feel like i want to do magic.

I pause here and think that if I carry on like this ,
This will be even more boring and long.!

I want to do lots of things but I don’t know how .
Actually I can’t do much but to envy others for the talents they possess.
They share their talents and brightens our lives,
Brings a smile to our faces,
Makes us think ,
Makes us curious .

I am not a poet, so why am I writing this in this forum.
I am not a poet and this is not a poetry.

About this poem:
A realisation that I am not very artistic.
Should have made more effort as had plenty of time. So think I probably have lots of talent too but too lazy to make things happen . Guess there is time but I am the same . Lol :)
Folks don’t get bored or annoyed . I am just passing time .

Ahmaud Arbery

A quite familiar episode unfolds
How young and black are kept from growing old
Meek men with guns, black hole in place of heart
A devils work did idle hands embark
Upon, but film had captured what occurred
Dead men won’t tell a pictures’ thousand words

A crooked DA Johnson tried to hide
Recruited to erase a homicide
But best attempts were futile in the end
Efforts often made could not contend
Real justice for Ahmaud the Fathers’ will
Yes peace envelope mothers’ heart be still.

Try. Try. Try. .Try

We”ve all heard the old adage “ you don’t succeed. Try, Try, again.
“ unfortunately, that phrase leaves quite a bit out for many of us in today’s day and age. What if don’t try to begin with? What if we’re so afraid of failure that we convince ourselves that trying at all is a
failure, and falilure we’re not willing to cope with? What if we are so accustomed to thinking we cannot possibly succeed that we are
So acccustoumed to thinking we cannot possibly succeed that
We look to everyone, everywhere for help we don’t actually need we look to everyone, everywhere for we don’t actually need in the first place? So many of us (and I am guilty of this to) believe in the order to accomplish something, we have to find someone who better at it than we are-someone smarter, wiser, more elo-Quentin,
funnier, stronger, whatever-er. What a tragedy, this Asking for help
Is one of the most important lessons we learn as we age knowing when we are at the limts of ourselves, be it knowledge, skill, or understanding. However, knowing when not to ask for help is one
of the most important lessons we learn as we age, knowing when
we are for help skill, or understanding,However knowing when not
is a talent that carries just as much weight. We learn through, fail-
ures, some large, some small, and they shape us into the people we become. Without these unfortunate, vital, valleys in our lives become.we can never truly reach the peaks that can follow, without learning from our own mistakes, painfully acquired along
the route of attempt, we cannot learn where we went where went wrong, we let slip though our fingers, how to improve. We are handcuffed fear of failure, stuck motionsless and petrified, believing we require so much more than ourselves to be what we should, to try

When a child is born it is a miracle. (Double Sonnet and Acrostic).

*W*hen children are born it's a wonderous thing.
*H*earing it's cry opens mothering love.
*E*very new heartbeat reminds us of spring.
*N*ew life, new hope from creator above.

*A*nyone being there, around this place

*C*herishes memories, stores more to last.
*H*oarding the smile of an innocent face,
*I*nter-relating with memories past.
*L*earning to know a wind-grin from a smile
*D*eepens the contact and makes us feel great.

*I*n these deep moments we all have a while
*S*miling and cooing to try and translate.

*B*ut all the laughter and joy that we know
*O*pens in us 'cause a child made it so.
*R*ight at the start when it made our heart sing,
*N*obody questioned this feeling of love

*I*f we looked closer it would make our heads ring
*T*o know what a treasure we've got from above.

*I*n wiser moments, that sweet little face
*S*orts our soul-searching, erases our past.

*A*ll of our failings will go to a place,

*M*ended by one little smile that is vast.
*I*n one split second they cure us of bile,
*R*ages are buried and anger can wait.
*A*fter a while we just echo that smile,
*C*ured and forgetting all thought that was hate.
*L*et us give thanks for this wonder, and know
*E*very miracle child helps us grow.
