I think we all chat to various individuals on here via email, phone, txt, whatever. We can also get too caught up in it and read more into it than perhaps we should.
Some of us flirt, some are serious. I think the key point, especially if you know your chance of meeting are zero to none, is to take everything with a grain of salt.
If you feel you have a connection on some sort of emotional level and feel hurt because they are suddenly ignoring you then I would email them asking what the problem is. JMO>

Could be he or she was just being a friend on the forums especially as a lot of CS forums peeps just want to chat maybe a little flirt but not to meet up. In other words they may be just being nice and polite and don't want an on going chat one on one and only wanted to let you know they think you are a good egg hehe!
