Tulefel: Three times I’ve taken initiative and sent messages first, and none of them was answered. Did I expect an answer? Yes, I did, otherwise I wouldn’t send them.
I send “Happy New Year!” flowers every New Year to them who haven’t behaved (ie to people I like), and most of them are answered, though in this case I don’t expect it, but it’s pleasant nonetheless. Note to self: Include Mazza1980 in the coming New Year list, or else he’d die of thirst.

Some of us may have joined initially with the expectation of dating, and I for one have had several CS dates in the past, and receive mail which I often do not respond to, so I felt it was appropriate to post here.

My mistake then......by definition since this a dating site...i took that for granted.....my apologies.

Tulefel: Good that my age and gender explain you ”a lot”. For me a person’s age and gender don’t explain anything, it’s just information about one’s age and gender.
Not a nobel prize is needed to see that you are a female!!

Actually a few times I’ve encountered people on this forum, who claimed that they know a lot about me, though I never correspondent with them, let alone met in person. Then, after they learned something about me and it turned not to coincide with their primary version, they accused me of lying. It went like: “I thought that you were this and that, but now I see that it’s not true.” It’s never failed to make me neigh as an elk (though I know it’s not nice).
People of that kind are much worst in the real life, especially when you depend on them in one or another way. But so far I was lucky, and my current direct chief is a clever person – his conclusions about me are based on results of my work, not on my age and gender.
