My belief is you should never hit someone first unless you are threatened with bodily harm or worse. If my woman hit me I would hit her back because if you let it go she will do it again. I have never had a reason to hit a woman(excluding fighting with a chick when I was under 12) nor have I felt the need to do so.

When my ex hit me i tried to defend myself. nearest thing to hand was a mop.
I came of worse but i got some satisfaction that he probably had bit of a headache.

From past experience, fought back only twice but it was pointless anyway. Stayed way too long. Got out and am now very happy.
Would never do it again (stay in an abusive relationship or put up with it) - would run as fast as I could and would get out as soon as it was safe to do so.
I don't believe violence back is the answer because it just becomes a cycle of violence between the two partners, although if anyone ever bashed me again if it was endangering my life or that of my children, would do anything necessary to stay alive.

Never been in one, and if my partner is abusive i would try to talk to her when she is calm and advice her to get help. But if she is so violent and not ready to get help, i will have to run, cus i wont be violent becus of her when there alots of lovely and calm women out there.------ This poll is Archived ------
