Question is ...
is being a "successful lifelong monogamist"
1. someone who only ever has 1 partner/lover at a time 2. someone who only has 1 longlife partner/lover
If the answer was 1, there would be no ifs and buts. If the answer was 2, there would "what if someone becomes a widow or widower?" (I know a woman who became a widow 3 times ) What if someone is in a toxic relationship?" etc...

No pat answer as I believe there is a different spin for each of us however the intent to be monogamous is alive and well, just not a good application at times.
