Whilst these words are similar in context I do feel that there is a marked difference,but surely it depends on the use of the word.
For instance I may have the power to perform effectively ,but lack the moral, mental or even physical strength to do something with effect.j.m.o

power can be mind power,heart power,eyes power,speech power,arguments power,etc...strength is only body strength.

Power is the capacity to impose change.
Strength is the capacity to resist change.
It remains indeterminate if the change itself is for better or worse.
I think from a social context people in most places feel more empowered to achieve the latter rather than the former.

In another form, this has already been mentioned, but to me power is active and strength is passive.
However both can affect each other. Look at a river valley carved through rock..... The rock is strong, but can be worn away by the power of the water, but having said that, the river meanders and so the power of the water is diverted and controlled by the strength of the rock.....
