Do you mean being devoted to her husband as per taught by her culture?
In some culture the "devoted role" is just that "a role" ... IMO it doesn´t make it any more sincere than a sincere woman in any other culture where the role might be played in different ways but the love is there.

I really don't think it makes a difference anymore. Even in the most conservative cultures (i.e. Korea which used to have a 5% divorce rate) things are changing very quickly.
It was like that in germany also. My generation was the first to benefit from the women's lib movement in France, contraceptives being available etc.
If you're serious about looking for a woman to marry, you should do the obvious... look close to home where you know the people, where you know what the girl does for work, etc. If you start looking overseas, you might set yourself up for a nasty surprise.

I think a woman would think longer before actually getting a divorce....

No clue, but I can say that the 50% divorce rate in my country and the fact that 70% of the divorces are initiated by women creates a huge question mark.
