HaVe some coke and take about 20 mg of methadone about a half hour before you do it and you'll be fine.
A large number of Women here get facial tattoos instead of applying makeup everyday. Looks really nice 24/7/365.

Depending on where the tattoo goes it will hurt less or more professor I suggest to not start with a tattoo along your spine.

Anyone who says it doesnt hurt is crazy.I have three and i found it depends more on where you have the tattoo.Over bone can be quite sensitive.I put it down to a burning sensation that is uncomfortable bit quite tolerable.cool

It really doesn't hurt per se but is a sensation you grow desensitized too as the artwork progresses. If you tense up then it may sting a bit. The trick is to be relaxed and just let your body work with the artist.

Some hurt more than others, depending on whether it is in color or more plain, and depending on where on your body, bony areas are more ouchy than fleshy parts...laugh

Dolphinlover85: does it hurt getting a tattoo?

I have 4, and my first response is "yes", if you need to ask then just expect some pain. Don't thin your blood with alcohol or painkillers, just accept it as part of the price to pay in earning that tattoo you always wanted. Some people experience pain differently than others. As long as you can sit still and breath,,don't hold your breath,,,and go find a good reputable artist that has some good pictures of their work and that you feel comfortable with. That person that you get it from is someone you will remember always..i did anyway. I hope that helps a bit.
Oh,,side note. in this day and age I think you will be fine as far as being labeled as a criminal. People (not all) are much more accepting in seeing tattoos on regular people.

Evidence, please.
Names and details of surgeons, lawyers and 'even judges' and 'other well-respected people' who have 'full-body pieces' would be nice to substantiate your claim, which I find to be so ridiculous that it is absurd.
I have spent years sitting in courts and I can assure you that it is always (ALWAYS) the defendant in the dock who has the tattoos, not the lawyers, the police, or the judge, or magistrate.
I have also spent time at prisons (no, not as an inmate) and I can assure you that 100% of the tattoos that I have seen there have been on the inmates, not the guards.
Tattoos are one of the recognition badges of the criminal culture. The petty criminal culture, that is. Would you expect a Mafia don to be covered in tattoos? I doubt it.

I know of many professionals who have tattoos, they just put them in places that are covered by their work attire.

For the record I have tattoos and have actually never been arrested. I also spend a couple days a month in a courtroom and manage to still be professional tats and all...its called makeup and believe it or not they actually make cover up just for such reasons. Nowadays your kinda the minorty without at least one tatt....to each his own.

To the OP...of course it hurts but if you really want it, its worth it. If your worried about pain put it in a more cushioned spot. The more tissue there means less pain, against bone is very painful.

Somewhat of a lopsided conclusion this me thinks.....

confused

I myself do not wear any tattoos....but it is mistaken to state that it is a criminal culture.....suffice to mention cultures like the Maori where body tattoo is part and parcel of the culture....and as you should know from down under....would be mistaken to conclude therefore that the Maori is a criminal culture of sorts.....

There are various examples of different cultures around the globe where body tattooing is considered the norm....as in effect it is considered as a fashion trend in a lot of western cultures today.....as is quite evident from the younger generation locally...

AGAIN a rediculous response!! Names and details etc what on earth are you going on about man?? Like I have the details of every one of these people just to give to you on a dating site? As if I'd give their full details if I had them to you or anybody else anyway! laugh laugh

I have NO criminal record but have tattoos!!! I know a BARRISTER in my local home town who has his whole torso covered in Japanese style tattoos. The chairman of my previous rugby club is a very well respected surgeon, and had a complete back and chest piece which he intends to become a full torso tattoo. I've read a number of articles over the years showing these types of people showing their body art and very proudly too. Good for them, at least they are not stuck in the dark ages.

Just because YOU haven't seen anyone doesn't mean to say it's not true!

Read some of the other posts after your reply and you'll see it's not me who is absurd. Unfortunately it's the minority of people like yourself who find it way too easy to insult other individuals and cultures too, which is worse and even more close minded and blinkered.
