It gets tiresome sometimes but they seriously need to wake up and realize they are attached on either side...They are not going anywhere. Besides we love em ...The black-hearted bad tempered devils ...They are part of what makes Canada great!

Whilst we're at it, you guys, the Ozzies and the New Zealenders owe us a few quid for the upkeep of Buckingham Palace and the Royal Family. Please send me a big cheque to Crown And Sceptre Holdings. (C.A.S.H.)

cloud747: and...why?
Both. If that makes them happy then I'm for it. If they can find reconciliation then I'm for them staying. They re a unique people of a small number (six million) among a larger majority of over three hundred million who are only attempting to preserve their identity.
Quebec is a big territory. They have a different language so is their culture. If the people from Quebec wants to be an independent country, let them be.

I am For Quebec separating. It's just like entering a foreign country and the people in Quebec, especially Montreal, seem to have an attitude about it.
Perhaps if they become their own Nation, they would lighten up a bit and be a little more friendly instead of walking around with a chip on the shoulder.
Why force them to be part of something they do not want to be a part of? It must be miserable for them.
Show respect and let em go. Give them their FREEDOM!
The problem is that the independence of territories or changing boundaries are taboo subjects for governments, and the possible independence of Quebec would create a precedent.
cloud747: may be if they separate they will have a better groth
Personally I don't think so. I did not vote because I'm not Canadian and that's not my business.
The Belgians also discussed a possible territorial partition and maybe the final decision in any of these countries will make decide to others, or that people wait to see what happens to decide.

kidatheart: We've had a fair bit of sunshine here in Alberta this year.
Sure did. Must've affected your factual powers as the population of the US and Canada is over three hundred million. Six million Quebecois attempting to preserve their culture is a battle indeed.
