I'd love a night out in Dublin.... Cant afford to go much further and have friends I can stay with. I'm a cheapsake
Wondering if there is a venue that would suit all the different tastes that there are on here...from the 20 somethings to the 50+s. There's a wide range of ages of the people on these forums that i would like to have the craic with over a drink or two. Wouldnt want to exclude any by virtue of being in a venue which only really caters for a certain age group.

Can you take me with you....................Funny I would go to Wexford as quick as I would go to Dublin just because I can drive there and around the town where as Dublin I have to get a bus

Dublin for me is already two bus journeys away....wexford and I'd only be getting there in time to get my bus home.
When I had a car I from time to time would drive to Dublin for a night out, obviously not drinking. Didnt cost me a thought. Relying on buses though is an entirely different matter.
this poll was posted a short while ago no-one came to a decision. Perhaps if you want to limit the poll to Ireland why do you not post this in the Irish forums?

Somewhere not to bloody far lol Donegal for convenience but I would love to go to Dublin but would not drive into the City, so would have to park the car just before Dublin and walk the rest lol or get a bus I guess.

I would have picked Louth but it is not an option
I'd know a good spot in Dundalk too if people were willing to travel. The village I originally from would be an excellent spot too but not exactly handy for a lot for folks.
For me Dublin is the handiest....its two buses there as it is, so anywhere else and I'd be travelling for days...
kidatheart: Funny, I never see Canada on these lists, although I do realise it's a long way for people to travel, but it's the same thing on the Intls. We're not all knuckle draggers over here you know.
ah i'd say a huge % of irish people have family over there. I now I do. Some in Toronto and rest in Sault san marie. Heck my dads cousin was even a member of parliament for years...

I'd go to Canada in a heartbeat. Labatts, Moosehead, Mounties, Maple Syrup, Molson, Ice Hockey, Nelly Furtado and Avril Lavigne does it for me!

Ahh, Toronto, my home planet, the center of the Universe.
Quite a few of my friends are of Irish descent, some first generation, and a couple born in Ireland. I've met some that are here for work, and a few have mentioned likely staying permanently, if they can ever get used to the brutal Alberta winters.
